FIAT at Roberts Aerospace & Automotive

FIAT's are the performance car bargain at the moment from the modest, but fun to drive, Cinqecento Sporting to the shatteringly fast Coupe Turbo there is a performance FIAT for every pocket and insurance bracket so everyone can drive a sporting Italian car should they want to.

Our pick is the 16v Coupe - not as expensive to service or as unreliable as the 20v cars and much more rewarding to drive and cheaper to insure than the turbos. It's a genuine sports car in the classic mould and with the torquey and well developed rally winning engine out of the Lancia Integrale is a surprisingly good car for very little money.

However, the more modern FIATs built using the FIAT group's modular engine family can be expensive to service - a franchised FIAT dealer will charge you £1600 to change the cam belt in a 20V coupe or even Marea as they will take the engine out - a job you need to do every three years!

However, this is a job that can actually be done by moving the engine out of the way a little - it's tricky though...

We offer fixed prices on the following common FIAT jobs (Coupe used as an example):

Every 9,000 miles or annually. Short Service (oil change, oil filter, air filter, fluids, brake check, vehicle condition check). £99.00
Every 36,000 miles
